The first fresh shoots of fuchsias are suited well as cuttings. Rooting can be easily done in a glass of water. Using a sharp knife, cut to about 4 inch (10 cm) long shoot tips and put them into the water immediately. It takes about 3 weeks until enough roots have formed. The cuttings are then planted in pots with loose soil. Now they can grow up to stately plants outdoors on a bright but shady place.
